April has been a brilliant month for birds in our garden, with good weather too. We have seen crowds of goldfinches, siskins, chaffinches, bullfinches - a pair, which is a real treat - and a jay regularly visiting. Most recently, we also saw a lesser redpoll - our first sighting of this bird in Devon, though we have seen redpolls in Wales and Scoland. Absolutely superb sight of goldfinch, bullfinch and redpoll on the feeders at the same time!
