Scilly, May 2026

Photographs from a 5-day trip in the Isles of Scilly, with a group led by David Rosair from Island Ventures We stayed at the wonderful Hell Bay Hotel on Bryher, and visited Tresco, St Martin's and St Agnes, as well as walking on Bryher.

The highlights of the trip were a Turtle dove on Bryher (sadly I only have an iPhone picture) and the pair of Glossy Ibis(es), also on Bryher. Some of the group alleged that they had seen a Wryneck on Bryher, and an Eastern Olivaceous Warbler on Gugh (St Agnes), but there is no photographic evidence.

This was David's last (ever) trip to Scilly, so when we gathered for dinner on our last evening, Jeff Morgan presented him with Scilly's finest visitor, the Snowy Owl.
