Pictures taken on distillery tours on Islay. The pictures feature two distilleries

• the well-known Laphroaig distillery near Port Ellen, which is one of the few remaining that carries out a significant proportion of its own malting;
• the Bruichladdich distillery, in the west of Islay, which was brought out of retirement in the late 1980's, and went on to create its Whisky of Mass Distraction at the time of the Iraq war.
