Skomer, May 2013

Photographs taken on a visit to Skomer island, off the Pembrokeshire coast in May 2013. Skomer is famous for its large breeding population of puffins - the main reason for our visit. What we did not expect was the variety of land birds, and particularly the stunning bluebells. These were rather late this year, on account of the prolonged cold spring, so overlapped with the pink campion.
